Mission: 

This is a unique community art project

1.   Participants benefit deeply from this experience.  After over two years where the touchstones of the times were:

   * Remote  * Digital  * Distanced * Safe *

   Theater as a practice is one of our oldest institutions in which to find the touchstones:

   * Connection * Safe RISK taking * Self Discovery * Empathy * Presence in the moment. *

   We will make something very special for the community, but the workshop experience itself will give our participants pep, an ignition to their imagination and their optimism that will contribute to their happiness.

2. This can be what we make it. This is a fantastically exciting beginning. Since we are working toward a series of performances of new work of our youth’s creation as an offering to the broader community, and since this is Theater, which incorporates sound, set, lights and more, we will discover community as we bring our devised plays to production.  There is truly no limit to what Flatbush Theater Project can become, and 2021 Fall and 2022 Spring’s offerings were a beginning.  Our axiom will be Dream Big and then Imagine How.
